๐Ÿ”Œ Claude, ChatGPT & more

DraftyLab inside your AI chat

Ask Claude or ChatGPT to map a process, explain a board or design a database schema, and watch it appear on your DraftyLab board. Connect once with one link.

Connect with one link

Paste it into your AI app's connectors. The app opens DraftyLab, you click Connect, and that's it. No keys, no config files.

You'll need a DraftyLab account (the free plan works). The same link is in the app under Profile โ†’ Connections.

What you can ask

Your AI app gets the same tools as Drafty in DraftyLab: shapes and connections, sticky notes, pages with formatted text, database tables, groups, auto-layout and Mermaid.

From notes to a process map

"Turn these meeting notes into a flowchart on my Onboarding board."

Explain a board

"Walk me through the checkout board and point out anything that looks unfinished."

Design a schema

"Add tables for orders, customers and invoices to my Shop schema, with the foreign keys."

Write it down

"Add a page next to the flow with the steps as a checklist."

Tidy up

"Arrange my board left to right and straighten the lines."

Take it elsewhere

"Export this flowchart as Mermaid so I can put it in our README."

Your boards stay yours

Acts as you, nothing more

The AI app sees only the boards you can open and can change only what you can change. View-only boards stay view-only.

Same plan, same limits

Element limits, board limits and premium tools work exactly as in DraftyLab. Nothing is unlocked through the side door.

You can see every change

Changes appear live on the board for anyone who has it open, and the activity feed marks them "via MCP".

Disconnect any time

Every connected app is listed in Profile โ†’ Connections. One click and it loses access.

No DraftyLab AI credits

The thinking happens in your AI app, so connecting it doesn't use your plan's AI credits.

No passwords shared

You sign in on DraftyLab's own page. The AI app never sees your password, only an access key you can revoke.

Questions

Which AI apps work with DraftyLab? +

Any app that supports MCP connectors with sign-in: Claude (web, desktop and mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and others. They all use the same link.

Which plans include it? +

Every plan, including the free Draft plan. The AI app gets the same abilities and limits you have on the board in DraftyLab.

Does it use my AI credits? +

No. Your AI app does the thinking; DraftyLab only reads and saves the board.

Can I stop an app from changing my boards? +

Yes. Disconnect it in Profile โ†’ Connections and it loses access at once. For scripts, you can also create read-only access tokens there.
